November Spawned a Monster

November is shaping up to be a quiet month for the members of Showroom. With no shows until December 2nd, there’s little to do but rehearse, record, and (occasionally) study. Here’s a brief update of what Showroom is up to at the moment:

Rory and Michael are working on completing some of the new tracks we recorded during the Summer. They press buttons, turn dials, analyze strange graphs, and scrutinize miniscule sounds for days. They have become scientists of rock.

Ben is getting a desk lamp tan from his long hours at home with Plato and Alan Bloom. He (like the rest of us) longs to perform, but also values his time with the Ancients (and a few Moderns).

Tyler is discovering a new passion for children’s books, and spends much of his time absorbed in the works of Suess, Snicket, and Judy Bloom. He’s also developed a youthful ruddiness of the cheeks that we all find quite adorable.

Like Ben, I’ve been rather absorbed with school for the past few weeks. However, new songs are coming, and I’m pumped about the new recordings.
Until next time…
